Homework

➤ Annotation project: Step 1

First, carefully read the instructions for the annotation project. Message me if you have questions.

Meet with your groupmates and decide what piece of writnig your group wants to annotate. Message me on WeChat and tell me what that piece is and why you want to annotate it.

Group assignments:

  • Group 1: Dulguun, Felix, Ula

  • Group 2: Marianne, Henry, Kate

  • Group 3: Ally, Oscar, Celeste

  • Group 4: Carrie, Neil, Zachary

  • Group 5: Isaiah, Haeji, Tong Le

  • Group 6: Selina, Raina, Aria

  • Group 7: Yushi, Tony, Chunxin

  • Group 8: Wendy & Alison (+ Lisa as “consultant”)

➤ Tentatively decide on a direction for your final project

Read over all the work you’ve done for this class so far. Ask yourself, which of these could I imagine reworking into a longer, polished piece I would like to see published in our “literary atlas of DKU,” to be printed this spring and distributed in the DKU community?

Note 1: If you want early feedback on your Character piece, make an appointment with me this week to discuss your final project. (I will have everybody’s Character pieces done by the end of the week.)

Note 2: If you want to contribute to the book something different from the three pieces you’ve already written, I might allow that — if you explain to me what you want to do and why.
