➤ Read Drive Chapter 3
Chapter 3 is posted on Box. Print it and bring it to class. As you read, think about these questions: Can you think of an example of what Pink calls “Type X behavior” or “Type I behavior”? Can you think of a specific person, or type of person (other than the examples Pink gives) of a “Type X person” or a “Type I person?” (Be ready to share your examples with us if we have time!)
➤ Revise Chapter 2 outline
Revise your Chapter 2 outline however you wish, based on my feedback on your first outline, and hand it in next class.
➤ Write the beginning of Essay 2
First, reread the instructions carefully and message me if you have any questions.
Write the beginning of your essay and be prepared to read it aloud in class. Write enough that you’re able to convey: a) which of Pink’s ideas you plan to discuss; and b) what situation or activity you think it’s relevant to. Print it and bring it to class.
➤ Speakers
Johnathan, Eldar, Downey
Pick one of the following two options:
Describe a specific example of what you think Pink would call “Type X behavior” or “Type I behavior,” or describe a specific person or type of people who you think Pink would call a “Type X person” or “Type Y person.”
or
Give us a more general reaction to Pink’s ideas. Are you convinced? If so, why? If not, why not? (It’s okay to be undecided, too—what aspects of his ideas do you find convincing, and which less so?)
