It's often noted that successful language learners have the capacity to motivate themselves and continue to develop their language skills independently outside the structure of an academic course. Based on your and your classmates' experience trying to pick up a new language-learning habit, what is one insight you’ve gained about how to motivate oneself to do independent language study? (Or, another way to think about this question: What is one significant thing you observed about your and your classmates’ efforts to do independent language study?)
