Getting the speaker's attention

Body language and tone of voice are very important for getting a speaker's attention. If you want to speak, raise your hand and keep it raised till the speaker notices you. Try to make eye contact with the speaker. When saying the phrases below, use a rising tone of voice.


"Excuse me?" 

"Professor Jones?"

"Excuse me, Professor Jones?"
