You might want to start finding someone to interview.
If you go ahead and start interviewing, remember to take notes and/or record the interview! You will need to use your observations from the interview in writing your paper, and for that you’ll need a record of what your interviewee said.
➤ Speaker tasks
Next class I will invite one or more Americans, or people who’ve lived for a long time in the U.S., to class, and your job will be to interview them.
Prepare to describe to them clearly what you observed in the movie and what questions it raises in your mind. (Expect to speak for 2-3 minutes first, like we did last time, to explain what you saw and what you’re curious about.) Come ready with good interview questions to ask.
Note that our guests may not have seen the movie! If you want to show them a brief (very brief!!) clip from the movie, please let me know in advance so I can have it prepared.
